Article Retraction

Jurnal Bisnis Administrasi dan Manajemen (ALBAMA) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Retractions are issued when published articles are found to contain serious flaws or ethical violations that undermine the reliability, validity, or integrity of the work.


Retraction Criteria

An article may be retracted if one or more of the following conditions are identified:

  1. Evidence of plagiarism, duplicate publication, or redundant publication;

  2. Data fabrication, falsification, or major errors that invalidate the findings;

  3. Unethical research practices or violations of research ethics;

  4. Unauthorized use of data, materials, or copyrighted content;

  5. Authorship disputes that cannot be resolved;

  6. Compromised or manipulated peer review;

  7. Significant undisclosed conflicts of interest that could influence interpretation.


Retraction Process

  1. Retraction may be initiated by authors, editors, the publisher, or credible third parties such as academic institutions or funding bodies.

  2. The Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the editorial board, will examine the allegation and conduct an investigation following established ethical guidelines.

  3. Authors will be informed of the concerns and given an opportunity to respond within a specified timeframe.

  4. Based on the findings, the Editor-in-Chief will decide whether to issue a retraction, correction, or expression of concern.


Retraction Notice

When a retraction is issued:

  1. A retraction notice will be clearly labeled and published promptly;

  2. The notice will be permanently accessible and linked to all versions of the article;

  3. The reason for retraction will be stated in a clear, factual, and non-defamatory manner;

  4. The notice will be indexed and reported to relevant academic integrity platforms, including ANJANI, where applicable.


Post-Retraction Handling

  1. The original article will remain accessible with a visible “Retracted” watermark and updated metadata;

  2. Citations to the article must indicate its retracted status;

  3. Retraction notices will remain permanently available to preserve transparency and the scholarly record.
