Editorial Process

Jurnal Bisnis Administrasi dan Manajemen (ALBAMA) implements a structured and transparent editorial process to ensure the quality, integrity, and scholarly contribution of all published articles. The editorial workflow is designed to uphold academic standards and ethical publishing practices through systematic evaluation and peer review.

Manuscript Submission

Authors are required to submit their manuscripts electronically through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Submissions must follow the journal’s author guidelines and adhere to ethical standards in academic publishing. Manuscripts submitted via email or other channels are not accepted.

Initial Editorial Assessment

Upon submission, the editorial team conducts an initial screening to evaluate:

  1. The manuscript’s alignment with the journal’s aims and scope;

  2. Compliance with the author guidelines and formatting requirements;

  3. Clarity of language and overall presentation quality;

  4. Originality and ethical compliance, including similarity screening using plagiarism detection software.

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage without external review.

Peer Review Process

Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are forwarded for double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The review focuses on the manuscript’s originality, methodological soundness, analytical rigor, and contribution to the fields of business, administration, and management.

Details of the review procedure are described in the Peer Review Process section.

Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editors will issue one of the following decisions:

  1. Accepted

  2. Minor Revision Required

  3. Major Revision Required

  4. Rejected

The editorial team may request additional revisions or clarification when necessary. The Editor-in-Chief holds the final decision regarding the acceptance and publication of all manuscripts.

Revision and Resubmission

Authors requested to revise their manuscripts must submit:

  1. A revised version of the manuscript; and

  2. A detailed response to reviewers’ and editors’ comments.

Revised manuscripts may undergo further editorial evaluation and, when required, additional rounds of peer review.

Copyediting and Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to the journal’s style. Authors may be asked to review the copyedited version and approve the final proofs before publication.

Publication

Once finalized, the article is scheduled for publication in the forthcoming issue and published online with open access through the journal website. All published articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure permanent accessibility and citation.
