Author Guidelines

Jurnal Bisnis Administrasi dan Manajemen (ALBAMA) publishes original research articles and conceptual papers in the fields of business, administration, and management. Authors are required to follow these guidelines carefully to ensure a smooth editorial and review process.


1. Scope and Types of Manuscripts

ALBAMA accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  1. Original research articles (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods);

  2. Conceptual or theoretical papers with strong analytical contributions.

Manuscripts must fall within the journal’s scope and demonstrate clear theoretical and/or empirical contributions.


2. Originality and Ethics

Submitted manuscripts must:

  1. Be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal;

  2. Comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy;

  3. Have a similarity index within acceptable limits as assessed through plagiarism screening.

Authors are responsible for ensuring ethical research conduct and accurate reporting of data.


3. Language

Manuscripts may be written in:

  1. English, or

  2. Bahasa Indonesia (using formal academic language).

Authors are responsible for ensuring clarity, coherence, and grammatical accuracy.


4. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should generally include the following sections:

  1. Title

  2. Abstract (150–250 words)

  3. Keywords (3–5 keywords)

  4. Introduction

  5. Literature Review / Theoretical Framework

  6. Research Methodology

  7. Results

  8. Discussion

  9. Conclusion

  10. References

The structure may be adjusted to suit the nature of the study.


5. Formatting Guidelines

  1. Manuscripts should be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx);

  2. Page size: A4;

  3. Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt;

  4. Line spacing: 1.5;

  5. Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides;

  6. Length: 6,000–8,000 words, including references.


6. Citation and References

  1. Citations and references must follow the APA (7th Edition) style;

  2. All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa;

  3. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero).


7. Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Submissions via email or other channels are not accepted.

During submission, authors are required to:

  1. Complete all metadata accurately;

  2. Upload the manuscript file without author-identifying information (for double-blind review);

  3. Agree to the journal’s ethical and copyright policies.


8. Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo:

  1. Initial editorial screening;

  2. Double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.

9. Revision and Resubmission

When revisions are requested, authors must:

  1. Revise the manuscript according to reviewer and editor comments;

  2. Submit a point-by-point response explaining how each comment has been addressed.

Failure to respond adequately may result in rejection.


10. Publication Fee

An Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 300,000 is applied only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

There are:

  1. No submission fees;

  2. No charges during the review process.

11. Copyright and Open Access

  1. Authors retain copyright of their work;

  2. All published articles are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY);

  3. Articles are published with full open access, allowing unrestricted use with proper attribution.
